Build it and they will come!

Allagash Headwaters Snowmobile Club is proud to announce a new and exciting Northern Maine Snowmobile opportunity.

Located 60 miles in the North Maine Woods from either Millinocket or Ashland, Maine.

Allagash Headwaters Snowmobile club was conceived to fill the need to connect Snowmobilers from Western and Central Maine to the North through the Allagash Headwaters Region.

We are very small in club size and made up of a few local members because there are very few locals where we operate. Yet with this small, dedicated crew, we have opened new connector trails to existing roads, and with great landowner relationships in the area including the Maine Department of Public Lands, Hull Timberlands, Acadian Timber, and the Allagash Wilderness Waterway; we believe in the mantra: ‘build it and they will come.’

We are humbled by the outpouring of the snowmobiling public already and thank you in advance for your patience as we grow, Big Plans are already in the works for the New Year! Food, Lodging, Fuel and more will be available in the future! We are very excited! Many folks have been messaging and emailing already as to how they can help. We are currently working jointly with the Maine Snowmobile Association and the Department of Agriculture Snowmobile Program to bring this opportunity to the Snowmobile public. Realistically, volunteering your time or a strong back is very much appreciated yet not a realistic option as of now due to our remote location.

What can you do to help then?

Honestly, the most helpful activity would be to join our club by clicking here and watching us grow. You will receive Membership confirmation via email and that will be followed up with a great cub sticker being delivered in the mail.

Thank You again and spread the word! Grooming schedules and current weather-related conditions are planned for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a detailed map currently in production.

Safe travels and we look forward to seeing you deep in the North Maine Woods at your Gateway to the Ghost Trains!
