Winter is finally here!

Maine Snowmobile enthusiasts,

We all have been waiting patiently for winter and our Northern Maine abundant snow to arrive.
Well, winter is finally here!

Our trails have been finally cleared and signed to Locke Dam on Chamberlain Lake, Woodman Cove on Big Eagle Lake, and the Arm of Chamberlain Lake.

The lack of snow in our two wooded areas has delayed connectivity to our east and west trails. Groomed roads are in great shape for the conditions. Our small, but dedicated group of volunteers have shoveled out and cut off more than 50 stumps and removed more than two dozen blowdowns to allow Snowmobile and groomer access along with a new reroute that required widening and clearing.

These wooded areas are quite thin!

All trails have been packed and panned with grooming starting today. The upcoming cold nights will firm trails up nicely for the weekend.

We want to thank our great volunteers:
Shawn Mcbriety and helper.
Aaron Sweetser
Eric Daggett
Club staff.

Also our supportive landowners:
Hull Timberlands
Acadian Timber
State of Maine, Public lands.
